Patek Philippe is one of the top brands that come to mind when one thinks of a high-quality Swiss watch. With an ongoing legacy of fine watchmaking, innovation, and iconic models, it is no surprise that Patek Philippe is one of the most respected brands in the watchmaking industry. They are known for their perpetual calendar and minute repeater watches, which often fetch incredibly high prices. Today, Patek Philippe is the last family-owned manufacturer in Geneva watch
Patek Philippe was founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek. In 1844, Jean Philippe exhibited the first keyless winding watch at the French Industrial Exposition, where his invention caught the eye of Patek. A year later, Patek replaced Czapek as technical director, and subsequently, the company’s name changed from Patek to Patek Philippe.
